Pros: The teachers are mostly great. My history teacher, German teacher, English teacher, guitar teacher, chorus teacher, and gym teacher in particular have all been great, so kudos to them! :) The one teacher I sort of have had an issue with (I still think he's a really nice guy though) is my math teacher. He always describes math as "easy", when for people like me, it's not easy! And honestly, it makes me feel stupid, when I KNOW I'm not. I get As in almost every class except math.
It's my first year here, and I'm a freshman. So as the year is almost over, I thought I'd share some pros and cons of going to this school.
Well, that's my thoughts...
Eagle blocks! What a brilliant invention. They're useful to me in many ways. I talk to friends, do homework, participate in things like Scholastic scrimmage, or just read. I have a lot of freedom to do what I want in the last 45 minutes, and I like that.
Cons: In Easton, only half the people there were white. It was a nice, diverse school. In Nazareth, 9 out of 10 people are white! Now I personally am white, but I'd like there to be more diversity in the school that I go to. One of my friends at Nazareth this year told me that finding a black person at this school is the "Where's Waldo?" of Nazareth. Kinda sad, kinda funny, very true. Also, most of the people here are not only white, but are CCs as I like to call them (conservative Christians). I am neither of those two things. There is clubs like the Young Progressive's Club, and the GSA though. And I am part of the Young Progressive's Club, or as I like to call it, the liberal escape. Because trust me, I saw so many people wearing "Trump" shirts on November the 9th, and I hated it.
That's definitely my biggest complaint about this school, but I also have to say that the school is kinda old. It feels a bit unfair saying that, as the Easton Middle school building I used to go to is absolutely beautiful. But still, some renovations would be nice. The urinals in some of the boy's bathrooms are one step away from being "Wrigley Field" quality, and the school in general could just use a bit of liveliness.
As a Japanese-American, I find this school very disgusting. Everyday, I walk into this school and bathe in the racism and discrimination that floods our halls. It makes me feel awful about myself. I hate it here and wish I were at a different school. Somewhere much nicer, like in Saudi Arabia.
100%diverse and friendly environment
A lot of what I've learned here as been really useful information. I'm on the scholastic scrimmage team, as I do tend to think of myself as a bit of a trivia buff. I'm still a freshman, so obviously I'm not one of the better kids on the team. But I've gotten so many questions thanks to History class, which is my favorite! :)
As a kid who used to go to Easton, I met some kids there that I'd like to forget. Most of the kids I've met at Nazareth have been friendly though, and I've made quite a few good friends. I was sorta antisocial at Easton (I still kinda am now), but I've found it easy to make a good amount of friends. There's a fair share of freaks and weirdos here (as there is at every public school, I'm sure), but I've mostly stayed away from them.
Yo I gotta go poo where do I go
The wifi does not work, they have like 5 different types What is the need for? The majority of search results are blocked, so even if you're doing research for class there's a chance that it's blocked. And the part where going paperless and how you can't use the printers for assignments. What if the student were unable to receive access to a printer at home?
